The Kona Branch offers a $1000 scholarship to a senior girl from a high school in West Hawaii. The scholarship award is based on scholarship, need, community service and the student's goals. The award is given in the spring following careful study of the applicant's essays and recommendations. It is a unique award in that the student may use the funds in any way she determines will help her fulfill her goal of a college education.

The Kona Branch AAUW will reinstate its Women In Transition Scholarship. This scholarship will be for $500 to $1000 and will be given to one of our WIT participants. This WIT scholarship will provide financial assistance to a women who has decided to go to college after taking a different direction in life.

AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
