Our system is driven by Sun Microsystems computers running Solaris 9.0 Unix operating system, there are separate systems for each aspect of the service and they are linked by a 100BASE-TX Switch, our routing is by Cisco and Redback, and your call is answered by a 3COM Total Control Access Server with all digital, 56K, USRobotics DSPs (Digital Signal Processors). Our Internet backbone connections and our telco connections are through a fully redundant OC3 Fiber-Optic Cable, and are all dedicated lines(Private lines, no shared bandwidth). Because we have the dedicated connections to our (fully redundant) backbones, we are a Tier-2 Internet provider and fast. Boiled down, we are not just fast but we are as fast as it is possible for a dial-up or DSL service to be.
